    For the ultimate aerial view over the Sussex countryside, make like a bird at Fly Sussex. We also recommend Airworks in Glynde who conveniently offer paragliding on the hill just across from The Grain Store!

    Dive into Lewes’s popular Pells Pool, the UK’s oldest freshwater public lido (May to Sep) or go wild swimming nearby at Tide Mills, Cuckmere Meanders and Barcombe Mills. There’s beach swimming too at Brighton, Shoreham and Seaford, with sandy beaches at Camber to the east and West Wittering to the west.

    Water Sports

    Water sports – you can hire a canoe or paddleboard at Cuckmere Haven, try kayaking or sailing at Ardingly Reservoir or opt for maximum thrills with a power boat or jet ski ride at Hove Lagoon.

    Glide along the River Ouse in a hired paddle boat at Barcombe near Lewes where unspoilt scenery, river-bird spotting and The Anchor Inn make for a perfect day out. Round trip takes two hours.
